Title:Lower School Teacher
- Lower School
What Do You Love Most about Tattnall?
I love the rich traditions Tattnall has in education and athletics and the strong Christian environment.
Rhonda Hardy is in her 28th year of teaching elementary school. Twenty of those years have been here at Tattnall. She has taught K-5, 3rd, and 4th grades. She is currently teaching 3rd grade and says it is a perfect fit for her. "Third grade is so exciting.... from communities and minerals to fractions and adjectives! Every year has been exciting and memorable, as I have been lucky to teach such wonderful students."
On a personal note, Mrs. Hardy is from Forsyth, Ga. She married Keith Hardy, and they have been married for 26 years. They have a daughter and a son. Kendall is 21 years old and is a senior at Georgia Southwestern University. Griffin is 15 years old and in 9th grade at Tattnall. Keith and Rhonda know the importance of education and chose Tattnall for their children because of the rich tradition Tattnall has in education, athletics, and the strong Christian environment. They are also very actively involved in their church, Piedmont Church.
When Mrs. Hardy is not working, she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies or games, and eating. She is a huge sports fan. She feels many lessons about life can be learned on a playing field. She promotes an atmosphere of safety, trust, and respect, and she emphasizes the idea of teamwork among her students. She says, "I believe great things can happen when we work together as a team!"
