Bio:

Lucy Dykes Peavy has taught for twenty-seven years in independent education and has been part of the Tattnall family for twenty years. Currently, she teaches English 9 Honors, World Literature, and Honors World Literature. She has also taught Humanities, Modern Fiction and Exploratory Writing at Tattnall. Mrs. Peavy serves as the Horizons yearbook advisor and sponsors the Beta Club. Having attended the University of Georgia and Mercer University, she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and a State of Georgia teaching certificate in English. Additionally, Mrs. Peavy has been named STAR teacher four times, twice by Tattnall seniors Heather Obelgoner ‘06 and National Merit Finalist Caroline Jackson ‘10. In 2014, she was selected as the Impact Award recipient by the senior softball players. Mrs. Peavy and her husband, Mike, are members of Vineville Baptist Church.
