What Do You Love Most about Tattnall?

Its tradition and the passion and perseverance of its people.

Bio:

As a 1989 Tattnall graduate, some of my greatest memories included being a member of first Tattnall state championship football team in 1988 and Captain of the first football game on Jack Baynes Field. After high school, I played baseball at Gordon College before transferring to Georgia Southern and graduating in 1993 with a BBA in Finance/Risk Management. I began my career with State Farm Insurance for 10 years in auto, home, and catastrophe claims involving special assignments all over the country. I returned to Middle Georgia as an independent insurance agent with Forsyth Insurance Agency before finally relocating to Macon and becoming a partner at Waites & Foshee Insurance, where I was employed for the last 18 years. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Christy- Class of 1990, for 29 years, and we have 3 awesome kids, Cole- Class of 2020, Clay- Class of 2022, and Ellie- Class of 2026. We have a chocolate lab and golden retriever, attend Ingleside Baptist Church, and I am unapologetically a Christian Conservative that enjoys family, sports, hunting, fishing, and anything that involves laughter.

Fun Fact:

I met my wife Christy in the Tattnall cafeteria on September 12, 1987 and asked her to marry me.

Favorite Verse or Inspiration:

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work." - 2 Corinthians 9: 7-8
