EBH blue2It’s fair to say that Elizabeth Bass Hilliard has Tattnall blood running through her veins. This True Blue Trojan has spent the majority of her life associated with TSA, including 13 years as a student and now as a current parent.  This year, we are proud to announce that she has also been chosen as the 2016 Joe Magnan Alumnus of the Year.

hilliard cheerElizabeth, the youngest child of Tom and Mardi Bass, graduated from Tattnall in 1996.  In the classroom, Elizabeth was an honor graduate, a member of Beta Club, and she was the captain of the TSA Varsity Cheerleaders her senior year.

She graduated from Mercer University with a BS in Early Childhood Education in 2000. As a young child, she always had a love of art and took art lessons for 10 years, but she also had a very analytical side to her that led to her teaching 3rd grade and being a math tutor early in her career.

Elizabeth continued down the path of teaching and tutoring that she felt God had for her until He revealed a new plan for her life after the birth of her third child. She began Truth Be Told Art in her living room with a party of eight in 2011. Today, her business has been blessed and grown to a team of 30 instructors and 3 managers in 8 states (GA, FL, SC, NC, TN, TX, ARK, MD).  Currently, her team has painted with over 30,000 people and customers can choose from over 75 painting designs.

promOutside of her work, Elizabeth and her husband Lance ’93 have three children, Jake ’22, Anna ’24, Ella Kate ’28. Their family attends Piedmont Church where Elizabeth serves as an All-Star Kid’s teacher.  Elizabeth enjoys being outside in nature with Lance and the kids, camping with extended family, decorating, cheering on her children in their activities (including softball, basketball, marching band, soccer, guitar), doing creative home projects on a whim, and hanging out doing anything outside with friends and family.

We invite you to join us for commencement services when our 2016 Joe Magnan Alumnus of the Year, Mrs. Elizabeth Bass Hilliard, addresses the Class of 2016.  Graduation will be held at Ingleside Baptist Church on May 23 at 7:00 p.m.
