Bio:
Coach Abernathy graduated Cum Laude from Mercer University in 2016 with a Bachelor's of Art in Political Science. He then went on to receive an M.A.T in Social Studies Education. He also holds an Ed.S Degree from the University of West Georgia in Instructional Technology. Coach Abernathy was a three year letterman for the Mercer University Football Team. He began his career at Jones County High School where he taught Social Studies and Special Education. While at Jones County, he spent two years as the defensive line coach and one year as the outside linebackers coach. Coach Abernathy is married to Haley Abernathy.
