Summer At The Square

Tattnall Square Academy offers a variety of summer camps beginning in May and lasting through the start of the school year. Individual faculty members or TSA coaches host each camp.

Voted “Best Summer Camp” by readers of the Macon Telegraph for nine consecutive years, Tattnall summer camps are a great way to stay active during the summer months while learning, having fun, and making new friends! All camps are open to the public.

We do not offer camp scholarships or sponsorships.

MAY CAMPS

Football Camp: May 20-23

This youth football camp is intended to provide a fundamental foundation for the game of football within a fun and competitive environment.

Cooking Camp: May 20-24

Campers will gain confidence, independence, basic culinary skills, and kitchen safety skills as they learn to prepare tasty, kid-friendly dishes. Students will also get a chance to TASTE all of their creations! Daily themes will be: 1. Breakfast Bonanza 2. Delicious Desserts 3. Picnic Palooza 4. Lovely Lunches and 5. Snackalicious

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun: May 20-24

Girls will put their creativity to use while enjoying a week of fashion fun, with sparkle and glitter and playing in the sun. Manis and tea parties for ALL. Along with decorating cookies, we are going to have a ball! Join us for this and much more to be done! Because girls just wanna have FUN!!

Baseball Camp: May 28-30

Tattnall Baseball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game with emphasis on hitting, throwing, catching, defense, pitching, and base running. Campers will learn the “Trojan Way” in a fun setting where they will get individual attention, video, feedback, and be able to take with them after they leave camp. Coach Brooks will be the lead instructor and will be assisted by his current varsity-level players.

Making Music Camp: May 28-31

Calling all kids who enjoy making music. We will spend the week making instruments out of everyday objects. We will also explore rhythm and beats through movement and playing instruments.

JUNE CAMPS

Softball Camp: June 3-5

Tattnall Softball Camp will focus on the fundamentals of the game with emphasis on hitting, throwing, catching, defense, pitching, and base running. Summer with Suess Camp: June 3-7

Campers will explore the creative, imaginative world of Dr. Seuss as they combine STEM activities with literature. From Oobleck to truffula trees to the antics of Cat in the Hat, all campers will enjoy a variety of wacky, fun activities that will be sure to spark their imaginations! **All books we read will be recorded on a sheet for you to turn in for your summer reading!**

My Kid Did That! Art Camp: June 3-7

This camp is for any child who has ever wanted to learn more about art and artists. Campers will acquire new skills and create art they will be proud to display. No previous experience is required, and campers should come with a willingness to learn and have fun! At the end of the week, they will display their art in a collective art show that is open to family and friends.

Soccer Camp: June 3-6

This camp will improve the participant’s technique, and through a variety of fun activities and games, improve his or her understanding and enjoyment of the beautiful game.

Full STEAM Ahead Camp: June 10-14

Students will use their creative minds and energies to explore, design, and learn about our world – through SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, ART and MATH. If your child is inquisitive, then this camp is for them! Creative minds are wonderful to watch!

Middle School Survival Skills Camp: June 17-19

Middle School Survival Skills will help incoming 6th-8th graders survive middle school. We will spend time learning how to organize notebooks and book bags. We will learn typing skills, email composing, using Google Drive, team-building activities, and more. Middle School Survival Skills will start each day in Room 108. Join us to help you become a successful middle school student.

Little Einsteins Camp: June 24-27

Does your pre-schooler love all things messy? Like painting, play-dough, kinetic sand? You know, all the things that make us moms cringe? Send them to me! This camp is geared towards promoting beginner’s skill building, creating simple STEAM projects, and having fun in the making!

TSA Time Machine Camp: June 24-28

Join us on a role-playing STEAM journey through time as we board the TSA Time Machine! Each day, students will go back to a period in time where they will engage in exciting science and engineering activities, learn scientific and historical content, all in order to add another part associated with that time period to the time machine. Campers must add the correct part in order to make it back to the present and avoid being stuck in time!

JULY CAMPS

God’s Glamour Girls Camp: July 8-12

Students will work together as we explore who God has created us to be. We will use imaginative play as we dive into various character traits, Bible stories and verses. We will have a gymnastics day, spa day, art day, tea party day, and pajama day, but more importantly will learn that our true beauty comes from the inside! If your daughter or granddaughter LOVES all things “GIRLY” and LOVES Jesus, this is the camp for you! Come join the fun! Open to girls only in 3k-3rd grade.

Soar into Space Camp: July 8-12

This week we will blast off into a week of fun learning about all things space. We will complete themed crafts and activities throughout the week. We will also have fun experimenting with science related to space.

Lego Robotics “Masterpiece” Camp: July 15-19

STEAM Learning + Lego Robots + Creativity + Teamwork = the best week ever! Let’s explore how people share their hobbies and interests in creative and captivating ways! Campers will use their creativity, imagination, our Lego Robotics Spike Kits, and the FIRST Lego League “Masterpiece” Explore Set to design and build stages where different types of performances can take place. They will code and motorize their models, adding lights and sounds to make it stand out and be engaging for the audience. Teams will demonstrate their designs to parents and friends at our own festival on Friday.

Oceans of Fun Camp: July 15-19

Students will dive into the wonders of the sea. We will learn all about ocean life. Each day we will learn about different ocean/marine animals and their habitats. We will complete themed crafts, games, and a special snack daily. .

Middle School Survival Skills: July 22-24

Under the Sea Mermaid Camp: July 22-26

If your little one loves mermaids, this camp is for you! Each day we will complete themed crafts, activities, games, and a special snack.

Literacy Refresh Camp: July 24-26

This camp is for rising 1st and 2nd grade students who would like a refresh of their literacy skills in preparation for the new school year. We will have centers-based learning activities that will touch on all necessary reading skills for a successful year. Enroll now and watch your child’s skills blossom!

Camp Kindergarten: July 29-July 31

Rising K5 students will learn daily routines, explore the school, practice classroom rules and procedures, practice basic skills, and make new friends as they prepare to be new TSA kindergarteners! We will review letters and sounds, write our names, practice cutting and gluing, make crafts, and enjoy snack time and recess!

Pre-School Prep Camp: July 29-August 1

Are you nervous for your little one to start their “big school” experience? Pre-school prep will give you and your little one a preview of what it’s like to be a Tattnall Trojan Pre-schooler- before it really even starts! We will introduce the classroom routine, the pre-school playground, practice art skills, participate in rug time activities, and play in centers!

Trojan Spirit Cheer Camp: July 29-August 1

Attention all future cheerleaders! Join the varsity cheerleaders for a week full of fun. Our future cheerleaders will learn about all the cheerleading basics- motions, jumps, sideline chants, dances, and everyone’s favorite- stunts! We will perform for our parents on August 1 at 11:30 a.m. Each camper will also have the opportunity to cheer with the varsity cheerleaders for one quarter at a home TSA football game. A snack will be provided each day. Campers need to bring a water bottle. Camp fee includes a t-shirt to be worn on the last day of camp!
