Elizabeth Wainwright, second base for the Lady Trojans, signed a letter of intent to play softball with Young Harris today. Elizabeth is a four year starter, and has hit .461 this year with 31 runs scored and 30 stolen bases. She holds the single season stolen base record (33) as well as the career stolen base record (106).

“Liz has been a great player for us for 4 years. Her speed and instinctive play have helped our softball team achieve great success in her 4 years as a starter. She plays the game at a pace that is consistent with championship level softball. Young Harris will be very pleased with the tools and talents that she brings to their softball program. We all wish her the best of luck with her college softball career.” remarked Coach Joey Hiller.

Elizabeth was named All State as a sophomore and as a junior. She holds the second highest single season batting average (.461) and holds the record for the highest career batting average at .421. Elizabeth also has the second highest career hits record with 166 behind 2012 graduate, Kayla Steele. She is the single season record holder for runs scored (48) and is 2nd in Career Runs Scored with 132.
