After winning the region championship and making it to the Elite 8, Tattnall Square Academy’s Lady Trojans varsity softball team finished as GHSA State Runner Up. After an outstanding season and playing 8 innings in the championship game against Wesleyan, the Lady Trojans fell short 5-4. Tattnall will miss three softball seniors next fall. Allie Gordon and Carley Ingle will play softball at Belhaven University in Mississippi. Ashleigh Morton has currently elected not to play college softball, although she has had several offers. Coach Joey Hiller said, “I am so proud of these girls and everything they have accomplished together this year. Anyone who was there for our games against Wesleyan saw great softball played by two teams that are filled with talent and senior leadership. I was inspired by how our team competed, and I can honestly say that our girls gave everything they had to give. They are champions in my book!”
