Macon, GA. – Beginning with the 2016-2017 school year, Mr. Chance B. Jones will assume the role of Head Football Coach at Tattnall Square Academy. Following an extensive search for qualified candidates, Coach Jones was selected as the person to continue the tradition of athletic prowess at Tattnall Square Academy.

Jones HeadshotCoach Jones was senior class president and first honor graduate of The Westfield Schools in Perry, GA. where his father, Coach Ronnie Jones, is well known. A graduate of University of Georgia, Coach Jones was a Cum Laude graduate with a B.S. in Biology, and a Master’s degree in Science Education. At Prince Avenue Christian Schools since 2009, he served as Head Coach of both JV and Middle School Baseball, where the teams were the 2012 and 2013 Champions and 2014 JV Runner-up. As the Assistant Coach of Varsity Football, he served as Linebacker and Receiver Coach and Offensive Coordinator. His leadership and expertise helped take the school to the GHSA A Region 8 Championship as State Semi-finals and Quarter finals in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015, and State Runner-up in 2012.
Coach Jones will be moving to the Macon area in the near future, and is excited about the opportunity to become a part of the Tattnall family. A public “Meet and Greet” will be held on March 9 at 5:30 p.m. All Tattnall family members are invited to attend.
