MACON, Ga. – The middle school math team, under the guidance of Mrs. Carolyn Smothers, earned a 4th place finish in the GCTM State Math Tournament this weekend ahead of local rivals FPD (5th) and Stratford (6th.) The 4th place finish earned the team a city championship title and solidifies Tattnall’s future as a leader in mathematics.

Colleen Molton, an 8th grader at Tattnall, finished in the top 10 in state. The team, along with Molton, includes William Stubbs, Hiroki Nishida, Pate Smith, Beijun Desai, Paul Kelley, Bridges Sanders, and Jessica Norwood.
