MACON, Ga. – Congratulations to Stacy Hinson, fourth grade teacher at TSA, who was named one of only five 2015 Atlanta Braves All-Star teachers! Mrs. Hinson was nominated by one of her students, John Michael Kitchens, for this well deserved honor.
“Mrs. Hinson uses games to make learning fun and she gives us candy during our tests! She is patient and kind. Even when I don’t really understand something, she will explain it again,” remarked Kitchens.
Misty Kitchens, John Michael’s mother, wrote, “Even though my child may struggle at times, she has never once given up on him! She always encourages him to be the best he can be and to ask questions when he doesn’t understand a concept. She greets him every day with a warm smile and teaches her students how to love and respect each other. More importantly than any academics, she has taught them how to keep going when things get hard and to never give up hope! We love Mrs. Hinson and are eternally grateful that God chose her to teach our baby this year!”
Stacy was presented with an award at Turner Field during the Braves v. Cincinatti Reds game this past weekend. Congratulations on this distinguished honor, Mrs. Hinson! We are so proud of you!
