IMG_3268Congratulations to Ms. Lucy Dykes who was selected as the Impact Award recipient by the senior softball players this year. Ms. Dykes has twenty years teaching experience in independent education and has been part of the Tattnall family for thirteen years. Currently, she teaches World Literature, Honors World Literature and Humanities. She has also taught Modern Fiction and Exploratory Writing at Tattnall. Additionally, Ms. Dykes serves as the Horizons yearbook advisor. Having attended the University of Georgia and Mercer University, she holds a Bachelor’s of Arts degree in English and a State of Georgia T4 teaching certificate in English (grades 7-12). Ms. Dykes has been named STAR teacher four times, twice by Tattnall seniors Heather Obelgoner ‘06 and National Merit Finalist Caroline Jackson ‘10.

Each year, seniors on the softball and baseball teams select a faculty member who has made a significant impact on their time at TSA. Impact Award recipients are also honored by throwing the ceremonial first pitch at senior night.
