MACON, Ga., January 16, 2018 – Congratulations to fifth grader Sophie Hutchinson who won first place in the Tattnall Square Academy Spelling Bee. Sixth grader Brynn Scott won first runner-up. Sophie will now compete in the first round of the GISA Middle School Spelling Bee on February 8. The first round is a written test consisting of spelling and vocabulary. Students who score in the top 10 will move on to another written test in round two. Finally, the top 20 from round 2 will advance to round 3, an oral spelling bee.
Sophie Hutchinson (fifth grade) and Brynn Scott (sixth grade) are named winner and runner-up at TSA Spelling Bee.
