Congratulations to the overall winner of the Golden Eagle Award: Art category, Tattnall's own Miriam Mixon! United Way hosts this prestigious awards ceremony each year to celebrate and honor Central Georgia’s highest achieving, engaged, and hard-working high school seniors.

Miriam was nominated by her Tattnall art teacher, Mrs. Elizabeth Hilliard, to submit her portfolio and go through the interview process with a panel of distinguished judges. She was chosen as the winner of all the private and public school candidates, and we are so proud of her! She received a notable scholarship and trophy. Thank you, @United Way of Central Georgia!

Miriam is an inspiration to those around her, a beautiful example of dedication and creativity, and has learned to push herself to great heights as an artist.

Last day of school for our seniors! For 11 of them, it was their final day after being at Tattnall from the very beginning of their education, our “Tattnall Travelers”! Congratulations to each of our Class of 2024 students!

Graduation is coming quickly...Monday, May 13, at 7 pm at Ingleside Baptist Church! (It will be live-streamed as well.)

Our Lower School Trojans are finishing the year strong, bringing various projects to fruition!

⭐️ Our 5th grade class hosted a Living Wax Museum featuring groundbreaking figures in American history. From Bob Ross to Babe Ruth to Abraham Lincoln, the museum is an immersive experience for visitors to learn about the figures' many contributions to society.
⭐️ Meanwhile, our 4th grade class went to war! "The Lemonade Wars," that is. After reading the book series, the students competed with one another by hosting their own lemonade stands on campus. Students raised more than $1,000 for Furever After Rescue, their charity of choice.

Today is the National Day of Prayer. Tattnall held a special all-school chapel to pray together for people locally, in the state, the nation, and the world. We also sent our high school Student Council leaders to the 73rd Annual National Day of Prayer Macon Observance Event in downtown Macon to pray and serve with community leaders.

Spotlight on Science at the Square!

🧑‍🔬 CPR: After learning about the cardiovascular system, our Athletic Trainer, Jody Burnette, joined the Anatomy and Physiology classes to teach them about CPR and how to use an AED.

🧑‍🔬 Dissections: Anatomy and Physiology students participated in dissections of a fetal pig to get a better understanding of gross anatomy and how the systems work together.

🧑‍🔬 Constellations: 8th grade students in Mrs. Patterson's class researched the significance of different constellations and created some impressive displays to light up our hallways.

Today was Career Shadow Day for our juniors! Thanks to all the professionals in our community who allowed our students to interview and spend the day with them in their fields. Spotlight on some lower school activities as we start to wrap up the school year!

⭐️ The 4th grade traveled out of town on a 3-day trip to Wahsega. Pioneer life, astronomy, archery, stream ecology, and hepatology are just a few of the classes they enjoyed.

⭐️ Kindergartener, Chapel Avery, won 1st place in the kindergarten division in the Think Pink Art Competition hosted by the Cherry Blossom Festival. She, her family, and her art teacher, Miss Green, enjoyed celebrating at the reception.

⭐️ Kindergartners loved the experience of Kite Day with Dad on a beautiful spring afternoon. What a special Tattnall tradition!
