What Do You Love Most about Tattnall?
A big part of my Tattnall family consists of my dear co-workers. These friends greet me with a smile everyday. We support each other in good times and bad. Working with people such as these makes coming to work a joy!
Laura Green is currently teaching 5th and 6th grade Math at TSA. She graduated from Ocmulgee Academy in Lumber City, GA, in 1979, and went on to receive a BBA degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, in 1983. She earned her teaching certificate from Mercer University in 1989. Laura joined TSA in 1996 as Assistant Daycare Director. She became a member of the faculty in 1997 as a fourth grade teacher, where she taught for nine years before moving to 5th grade. She is the coordinator of the TSA Geography Bee held annually. Laura is married to Frank Green, and they have two daughters, Whitley (TSA – 2008, UGA – 2011, Master’s degree from GSU - 2013) and Shelley (TSA – 2010, University of North Georgia - 2015, Master’s degree from Shorter University - 2016). She enjoys cooking, reading, canoeing, and traveling. She and her family attend Forest Hills United Methodist Church. “Tattnall has always been a second home for me and my family. My children have been well prepared for life experiences beyond high school. I cherish the many friends we have made here and look forward to seeing the heights that TSA will reach in years to come!”
