What Do You Love Most about Tattnall?

I love that I am able to build relationships with teachers, students, and parents. There is a warm, comfortable feeling when I am on campus.

Fifteen years ago I was hired to teach sixth grade at TSA. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I graduated from First Presbyterian Day School in 1981. I went on to Mercer University where I graduated in 1985 with a BA in Early Childhood Educatioin. Not quite ready for the "real" world, I continued my education and received my Masters of Early Childhood Education in 1987. I married Paul McKnight in 1986 and took a job teaching kindergarten at McKibben Lane Elementary. After one year I moved to Alexander II where I taught kindergarten for 9 years and then first grade for 4 years. In 2001 I joined the TSA family and taught sixth grade for eight years, second grade for four years, fifth grade for one, and finally fifth and sixth for the past two. Thirty years and still loving what I do. I have a son, Myles, who graduated from Tattnall in 2010. He is twenty three and will graduate from Georgia College in December, 2015. (Thank Goodness!) I am looking forward to many more years of teaching at TSA!!

Fun Fact:

Shopping, shoes, and Diet Coke are my follies. When I get to have all three in one day is bliss.
