Jonathan Ward officially signed a national letter of intent with Mercer University today among the company of his family, friends, coaches, and future teammates. For the past two years, Jonathan, a three-time All State pick, was a highly sought after prospect among several Division I schools. Head Tattnall Football Coach, Clint Morgan, spoke of Jonathan’s consistent hard work and discipline as contributing factors to his overwhelming success on and off the football field.

An honor scholar throughout his high school career, Jonathan has also been a four-year member of National Beta Club, a Wendy’s High School Heisman Award winner, and an Academic Athlete of the Week for the Macon Telegraph. Moreover, Jonathan has maintained perfect attendance beginning his freshman year.

Jonathan is an active volunteer for the Miracle League of Macon and participates in Young Life and FCA. He will join older brother and Tattnall alumnus, Tyler Ward, on the Mercer Football team in the Fall.
