The Joe B. Hill Media Center along with Lower, Middle, and Upper School Student Council partnered to raise money to purchase books for Habitat for Humanity’s new homeowners.

Our students raised over $1,900 to purchase books that will be donated to this worthy cause by facilitating a school-wide Coin Challenge in conjunction with our Fall Book Fair. We were able to purchase 320 books (5 full boxes) that will be gifted to local families working toward homeownership through Habitat for Humanity.
The Director of our local Habitat for Humanity, Ivey Hall, stopped by the Media Center Wednesday afternoon to pick up the books.
Mrs. Chambers would like to thank everyone who participated in the coin challenge along with our Student Council members and advisors, Beth McKnight (Lower School) and Kurt Dzwonkowski (Middle & Upper School).
We’re grateful for this opportunity to serve our community!
