Congratulations to Mr. Philip Peavy who was awarded a Bright Ideas grant from Flint Energies this afternoon. Mr. Peavy’s $639 award, the first to any private school in Macon, will enhance the Robotics program which is now in its inaugural year.
“We started a Robotics club that is open to middle and upper school students, and it has been a tremendous opportunity for our students to learn some foundation elements of robotics. We meet on Tuesdays before and after school. Robotics is also part of the Physics curriculum that surfaces in the second semester of 8th grade Physical Science.” noted Peavy.
Bright Ideas, a program supported by the Flint Energies Foundation, is possible due to the Round Up initiative implemented by The Flint Energies corporation. All Flint customers have the option to round up to the nearest dollar on every monthly electric bill.
