ImageThe Lower School student council held a Penny War between each grade level to benefit “Our Own Home,” an orphanage for children with HIV/AIDS in Jinga, Uganda. Students brought pennies for their classrooms to count toward the class total. As each collection grew, competing classrooms could bring higher value coins or bills to count against the classroom of their choice. The K5 classes raised the most money earning an ice cream party for their efforts. The Lower School as a whole raised $1,745 to benefit the orphanage.
