Congratulations to Dakota Long who was recently honored by the National Football Foundation as Tattnall Square Academy’s Scholar/Citizen/Athlete of the Year. The Middle Georgia Chapter selects one student from each area high school to be honored during an awards ceremony that will be held at the Homer & Ruth Drake Field House at Mercer University. 

In addition to serving as Senior Class President, Dakota is a member of National Beta Club, FCA, the Quiz Bowl Team, and Y-Club. He was a Wendy’s High School Heisman Nominee and is a key member of the varsity football and baseball teams. Dakota is a member of the Mable White Baptist Church Youth Group and has volunteered with Miracle League for four consecutive years. 

Earlier this year, Dakota signed a national letter of intent with Georgia Southwestern where he will attend in the fall and undoubtedly serve as an integral member of the GSW Baseball team.
