Most of the time the students who run the elementary football camps are not the same ones who are cleaning and taking inventory in the chemistry lab, but for one Tattnall student this is the case.  Senior Jordan Laskey is one of only four football players in Bibb County from all public and private schools to win the Bobby Gene Sanders Scholarship.

The Macon Touchdown Club awards a few select scholarships each year to high school senior football players who excel in the classroom and on the field.IMG_3889  Some of Jordan’s academic accomplishments over his high school years include a 4.0 GPA, a score of 2080 on the SAT, Highest Average in French I, French II, World History, Biology, Chemistry and Government/Economics.  He has also received the University of Georgia Merit Scholar, Wofford Scholar, the Presbyterian College Achievement Award and the WMAZ Scholar Athlete Award. In addition, he has held many club leadership roles, as well as being on the Math Team, on the Quiz Bowl Team and in the Beta Club during high school. After being accepted to Georgia Tech and the University of Georgia, he has decided to attend UGA in the fall in their new engineering program.

Jordan will be honored at a banquet on Monday, March 3, where he will receive his plaque and $1,500 scholarship. Your actions and accomplishments on and off the field make TSA proud! Congratulations, Jordan, on a job well done!
