Garrett Houston signed a letter of intent today to play baseball with Bevill State Community College in Alabama. Houston has been an integral part of the Tattnall baseball program since his 6th grade year and has earned two state championship rings during his time in our varsity program.  Coming into his senior season, Houston led all returning GHSA pitchers (all classifications) in Wins (12) and Strikeouts (107).

According to Coach Joey Hiller, Houston is a dual threat player as a pitcher and hitter who plans to use both talents as he moves to the college level. He has also been vital to the current success of our varsity Trojans who stand 21-2 for the season. “Garrett and his family have meant so much to our baseball program.  It’s nice to see their hard work and determination pay off in successes here and in his ability to be able to continue his playing career in college,” commented Hiller.

Houston is a Tattnall Traveler, earned All-State and All-Region honors after his junior year, and is a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
