Macon, Ga. – Congratulations to the 2016 Geography Bee Champion, Cadence Harden. Cadence is a fourth grade student in Mrs. Hinson’s class. Hiroki Nishida (8th Grade) earned first runner-up in the school competition.

Students in grades 4 through 8 are eligible to participate in this annual event. Each grade level conducts a preliminary round in their classes to determine the top two finalists from each grade level.

The Geography Bee consists of various rounds of extremely challenging World Geography questions.  Harden, the school champion, will complete a written exam for a chance to advance to the regional competition.

Congratulations to all of our additional participants in this year’s Geography bee: Lawson Sappe (second runner-up), Walker Bryant, Lauren Musolf, Claire Collins, Tate Turner, Brayden Floyd, Matthew Farmer, and Will Dennard.
