MACON, Ga., Nov. 14, 2018 – Tattnall Square Academy senior Trey Ham signed a letter of intent to play baseball at Lipscomb University today after committing in the summer after his sophomore season.

Ham has been an integral part of the Tattnall baseball program since his ninth-grade year. He helped lead TSA to victory with two GHSA Single A Private State Championships and one Runner Up title. As a sophomore, Ham set the single season record for home runs in a season with 13. For his career, he is currently batting .326 (72/221) with 13 doubles, 17 home runs and 75 RBI.

As he spoke at the signing, Coach Joey Hiller reminds Ham he will always be a Tattnall Trojan and will always be welcome at TSA. Hiller describes Ham as “an extremely hard worker, outstanding student, excellent leader and one of the best catchers TSA has ever had in the program.”

After signing, Ham thanked his family, friends, teachers, teammates and coaches who played critical roles throughout his baseball career.

“I appreciate my Tattnall family for everything you all have done for me. I have been a Tattnall Trojan for four and a half years, and I wouldn’t trade it for the world. I know the friendships I have made here will last a lifetime,” stated Ham.

Ham will soon begin his last season at TSA, and he hopes to finish the year with another state championship win. This year, Ham has an opportunity to be the first player to have a chance to play for four state championships in a row.

“Now we have one more thing to do. Let’s go win another state championship!” expressed Ham.
