DSC_0799Macon, GA. – Nicholas DiPonzio signed a letter of intent with Wake Forest University today in front of his family, teachers and peers. DiPonzio, a standout on the field and in the classroom, began his career at TSA as a freshman. It was then that head coach Joey Hiller realized his true potential.

“Nick is someone who is going to work hard to earn his place in life. His work ethic and ability led him to start as a freshman in a semi-final game of the state playoffs,” commented Joey Hiller. Hiller continued, “He possess all of the qualities that an institution like Wake Forest looks for in a student-athlete.”

DSC_0806While DiPonzio’s statistics speak for his athleticism, Wake Forest coaches wanted to know more about Nick’s characteristics off of the field. “They wanted to know more about his academics, integrity, character, and work ethic, and Nick is someone who passes all of those with flying colors,” remarked Hiller.

After signing his letter of intent, Nick thanked his family, friends, coaches, and TSA’s athletic trainer, Jody Burnett before he addressed underclassmen at TSA. “Don’t let your dreams be just dreams. If you work hard enough, you can make them a reality.”

We are excited to see what God has in store for you, Nick! Congratulations!
