Mrs. Candace Bridges has been selected as Teacher of the Month for November and December. She was selected by her peers for her willingness to help her colleagues, eagerness to accomplish tasks in the workplace, and her volunteerism on and off campus. Mrs. Bridges’ love of her subject area inspires her students to do their absolute best in the classroom, and her technological expertise has proved to be invaluable in the field of education.
Mrs. Bridges is chair of the upper school science department. She currently teaches Honors Biology, Chemistry, and Honors Chemistry. She is the sponsor of the TSA Science Club which was established in 2010. She was named STAR teacher by Becky Thublin (class of 2011) and received the Chip Davidson Outstanding Educator of Year for 2010-2011. Candace received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry with honors from Georgia Southern University in 2005. She graduated with her Master’s in Biology from Georgia College & State University in 2008 with a 4.0 grade point average. Candace joined the Tattnall family in 2008, and is a member of Mulberry Street Methodist Church.
