Not one, but two Lady Trojan softball players signed their National Letters of intent to play College Softball at GMC in Milledgeville today. Seniors, Kirsten Albright and Jade Moncrief, worked very hard for this accomplishment, and they both will be missed by their Tattnall Square Academy softball teammates and coaches. IMG_3343 This “battery” yielded tremendous production for the Lady Trojans over the past 4 years, helping the team to achieve an overall 128-28 record.  Albright and Moncrief were GISA AAA All State in 2011, 2012, and 2013 and the Macon Telegraph’s First Team All Middle Georgia Softball selections. And if that wasn’t enough, Kirsten was also named the 2014 Player of the Year. While on the mound, Kirsten set the Career ERA record (1.02 ERA), with a pitching record of 53-4.  Offensively, she set the career records for batting average (.420) and RBI (115), and she is #2 in Career HRs with 20.  Her future GMC roommate, Jade Moncrief, owns the Career HR record (23), as well as the career records for Runs Scored Record (139) and Extra Base Hits (66).  Wow!  What a record-breaking career for them!

These girls are not only great softball players, they are even better people.  Tattnall Square Academy will miss them, and we wish them the best of luck in the future. We can’t wait to see this pitching and catcher duo make their mark on college softball!
