Joey Most Likely to SucceedIn 1998, Joey Hardison was named “Most Likely to Succeed” by his peers his senior year. Sixteen years later, we are proud to announce that he has also been chosen as the 2014 Alumnus of the Year. Joey’s fellow classmates knew then that he would go on to accomplish great things. During his time as a Trojan, Joey had success on and off the field. On top of being an honor graduate, he was a baseball and football player for all four years of high school. He was fortunate enough to be a part of 3 state football championships during that time and even the quarterback of the 1997 championship team that beat MDS in the final seconds of the game!

After graduation, he continued his education at Georgia Tech where he graduated summa cum laude with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Economics in 2002. Then he moved to Texas to work in the largest refinery in the United States, Exxon Mobil, as an engineer. After 4 years at Exxon, Joey determined that he liked business more than engineering and applied to Harvard’s Business School.  He moved his family to Boston and graduated in 2008 with his MBA. Upon completion of his master’s degree he moved back to Atlanta and accepted a position with McKinsey and Company, which is the oldest and largest strategy consulting firm in the world. Joey works with a wide range of clients from the largest companies in the world on business strategy that will make their great institutions better.

Joey Hardison lives in Atlanta with his wife, Katie Orr Hardison ’97, and 3 beautfiul children, Grace (9), Baker (6), and Cole (3).  We are excited to have him join us at graduation as our alumni speaker and share his words of wisdom with the Class of 2014.Joey Hardison Family
