Mr. Josh Brandon, Band Director
Mr. Brandon has been recently appointed as the band director at Tattnall Square Academy. His leadership in the band program hopes to bring the band and music program to another level of appreciation, membership, and competition.
Mr. Brandon is a native of Jacksonville, Alabama. Both his parents met at Jacksonville State University. Mr. Brandon has lived in various parts of Alabama. Most of his childhood was spent in Birmingham, Alabama, where he attended Oak Mountain High School. While in Oak Mountain, he was involved in the “Spirit of Cahaba” Marching Band, where he section leader his senior year, Wind Ensemble in both Trumpet and Horn, First Priority, and Band Bible Study.
Mr. Brandon was also an active member in his church youth group of Asbury United Methodist Church. Mr. Brandon attended college at Jacksonville State University in Jacksonville, Alabama. He was awarded a full-tuition music scholarship on Horn. Some of the music ensembles that he was in include the world-known Marching Southerners, Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble, Horn Choir, Choir, Opera Theater, Jazz band, and various brass quintets. He was also involved in Baptist Campus Ministries and part-time youth and music minister at various churches. Mr. Brandon is part of the following professional organizations: GMEA, AMEA, MENC, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Kappa Kappa Psi.
