Scholarships and Important Deadlines
- Students interested in applying to West Point, a senior military college, or an Army ROTC program in college should stop Mrs. Clay's office to pick up a brochure.
- Oct. 1 is the deadline to apply for early notification to GA Tech.
Wesleyan College is offering an SAT Prep Course October 1-3 and again January 28-30 to male and female students. See Mrs. Clay for more information.
- AES is offering a $500 scholarship. Apply at http://www.aesengineers.com/scholarships.php by October 8, 2010. You do not have to be an engineer major to apply. A 1000 words or less essay is required.
- Oct. 15 is the deadline to apply for early action admission to UGA. You will receive a decision by Dec. 15.
- Coca-Cola is offering a scholarship to 250 students. You may apply at www.coca-colascholars.org . The deadline to apply is Oct. 31.
- Nestle is sponsoring an award to honor students who do well in school and are involved in community service. Interested students should visit http://verybestinyouth.nestleusa.com or see Mrs. Clay before November 1 to apply.
- Nov. 1 is the deadline to be considered for GA Tech’s Presidential Scholarship.
- Nov. 1 is the deadline to be considered for Mercer’s Scholars Weekend Competition as well as early action admission.
- Nov. 1 is the deadline to apply for early action admission to Georgia College and State University. You will receive a decision in December.
- Kroger is offering a chance to earn a $1000 scholarship to seniors who can creatively describe how they stay "green". Visit krogerearningpluslearning.com for more details. The deadline to apply is Feb. 1.
- Discover Colleges provides free private college information service as well as a $2500 private college scholarship drawing. Log on to www.discovercolleges.com to request information and automatically be entered in the scholarship drawing.
- The Medical Center is now offering their volunteer program year-round. Interested students should stop by Mrs. Clay's office for an application. Students must be at least 15 years of age and be able to volunteer for a minimum of 3 months, giving no less than 48 hours of total service.

- Seniors interested in playing a sport in college must register through the NCAA Clearinghouse. You may register at www.ncaaclearinghaouse.net
