Our Preschool program provides students with as many experiences as possible, using a variety of multi-sensory approaches. Kindergarten children should begin school in a loving, positive, stimulating environment where they feel free to explore new experiences. Our classrooms provide a wealth of activities, which allow learning through play and interaction with peers. Emphasis should be on the development of the child's independence and ability to function in a school setting to his/her fullest potential.
Pre-Kindergarten hours are 8:10 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. daily. Kindergarten hours are 8:10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily. One teacher and one teaching assistant staff each Pre-School class, and our class sizes are capped at 15. Our low student-teacher ratio allows for both small and large group activities and instruction. Our students participate in music, art, physical education, reading, language, science and math readiness. Computers in each classroom provide opportunities for student learning and exploration.
We have five pre-school classrooms located in the Elementary building. The rooms are inviting, and they provide optimum atmosphere for young learners. Each room is equipped with a variety of centers, two restrooms and access to the Preschool playground.
