Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Tattnall Square Academy. As you investigate, I encourage you to ask, “What is Tattnall Square Academy?” There are many fine independent schools in our area, and touring this website, visiting our campus, or talking with members of our school family will assist you in discovering what is extraordinary about Tattnall Square Academy.
Tattnall Square Academy is a day school where students receive an exceptional college preparatory education. We believe that a college preparatory school not only prepares students for college but also places students in a competitive advantage with admission offices at their preferred universities. Currently, all graduates of the class of 2010 are furthering their education at the college level. Students were accepted to some of the finest and selective universities in the country such as Clemson University, Georgia Tech, University of Alabama, University of Georgia, and Vanderbilt University. Members of this graduating class also garnered a number of scholarships, which totaled over one million dollars, and which included a National Merit Scholarship, a Mercer Engineering Scholarship, and a United States Air Force Academy Scholarship.
Tattnall Square Academy is a school where students are challenged academically but also spiritually. Students are exposed to the Truth of who God is and are encouraged to lead a life that honors Him. Students are challenged to become more like Christ through chapels, Bible study, and small groups. Tattnall believes that Christianity is for eternity, but Christ also provides for a more abundant life here on earth. Students are given the opportunity to serve others and to demonstrate God’s love in multiple ways. Each grade level serves in various missions projects throughout the year. Last year alone, our students provided over 10,000 hours of volunteer work locally, regionally, and internationally.
Tattnall Square is a place where students experience success. Our environment fosters opportunities to set high goals, to be self-motivated, to work as a team, and to accomplish feats they once thought impossible. Such success is evidenced in every area of student life. Academically, for example, we offer more advanced placement classes and have more students taking advantage of these than ever before. Additionally, our Math Team won the GISA State Championship in 2010. In the area of Fine Arts, every grade is involved in our theater performances, and our marching band won over eight superior ratings this past year. To promote personal growth, we encourage students to expose themselves to other challenges such as student leadership opportunities on campus and mission projects in areas outside their comfort zone. We trust the lessons learned from these experiences will prepare our students to achieve lifetime success.
Tattnall Square Academy has exceptional opportunities to offer your family. I invite you to come by and visit with us to learn all that Tattnall Square Academy can be for you.
