Special Awards for Senior Division:
Lauren Anderson and Heather Jones won the Stockholm Junior Water Prize by Water Environment Federation. Congratulations.
Logan Smith signs with MGC
Logan Smith signed a full scholarship on January 18 with Middle Georgia College in Cochran Georgia. Smith graduates from Tattnall as the softball team's all-time wins leader in pitching. Logan will play under Head Coach Ken Phillips at MGC. She is the daughter of Dennis and Tina Smith.
Tanner selected as All State Symphonic Band Member
Congratulations to Grafton Tanner, a junior, for being selected to the Georgia All State Symphonic Band. Grafton had two strenuous auditions along with nearly 5500 that auditioned and only 374 were accepted. He placed 3rd percussionist in his band. He will go to the All State Band Clinic in Savannah at the end of February to perform a concert with the best playing band and orchestra members in the state. Congratulations!!
Wendy's Heisman nominees recognized
Whitely Green and Kyle Redmond, seniors at Tattnall Square Academy, have received the nomination for the prestigious Wendy's High School Heisman Award. The program, awarded in conjunction with the collegiate Heisman, celebrates the achievements of the nation's top high school seniors both in and out of the classroom. Whitley is the daughter of Frank and Laura Green. Kyle is the son of Alan and Lynne Redmond.
Gavin Ennis recognized as Scholar Athlete
Gavin Ennis, a senior on the State Champion football team, was recognized as a scholar athlete by Middle Georgia Ambulance. The award, presented by Mr. Ben Hinson, acknowledged Gavin's excellence in athletics as well as academics. A gift was made in Ennis' honor to the Joe B. Hill Media Center at Tattnall Square Academy. Congratulations, Gavin!
