Conor Wainwright also won Best in Show, The Navy Award, and Top 10% Award which allows him to apply for the Society of Science and the Public Competition in Washington, DC. Congratulations.
Grimsley wins Spelling Bee
Congratulations to Walker Grimsley who recently won the 13th Annual Spelling Bee at TSA. Participants compete every January after they are given a spelling test by their respective teachers and then compete with representatives from each grade. Kaytlin Thompson, a 7th grade student, was named runner-up. Walker is the son of Ed and Peggy Grimsley and Kaytlin is the daughter of Patrick and Kim Thompson.
Ashley Williamson recognized by U.S. Congress
Ashley Williamson, 7th grade class president at Tattnall Square Academy, recently received a congratulatory letter from Walter B. Jones of the United States Congress. Jones commended Ashley on her hard work, dedication, honesty, and integrity as President of her class. She was awarded with the American flag that was flown in her honor. Students advance to Regional Science & Engineering Fair
Tattnall Square Academy recently held the 12th Annual Science Fair. Students in grades 7-11 are eligible to participate. First and second place winners received the opportunity to advance to the 31st Annual Regional Science & Engineering Fair to be held February 1-2 at Georgia College and State University. First place winners include: 7th Grade, Zack Houston and Grayson Brown, William Jackson; 8th Grade, Taylor Morgan, Minx Damron; 9th grade, Becky Thublin, Rachel Sheffield; 10th Grade, Caroline Jackson; 11th Grade, Heather Jones and Lauren Anderson. Second place winners included Conor Wainwright, Ryan Knapp, Jonathan Duffield & Seth Thompson, Natalie Tribble & Emily Bumgardner, Matthew Simmons & Ethan Sanders, Myles McKnight, Caroline Adams & Ciera Crowell, Amanda Carter & Sarah Poupard, Austin Kosater.
