PURPOSE

The purpose of Tattnall Square Academy is to provide quality education in a Christian atmosphere. The aim of the administration, faculty, and staff is to maintain academic excellence through high standards of curriculum, student selection, and teacher qualifications. In all facets of education, we are dedicated to excellence.

General Information

Tattnall Square Academy was chartered as a nonprofit corporation by the State of Georgia in 1969. The school is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of church members and parents. Located in north Macon, Tattnall Square Academy provides a college preparatory curriculum.

Tattnall Square Academy is accredited by the Southern Association of Independent Schools (SAIS), the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), and by the Georgia Accrediting Commission (GAC).

CURRICULUM

All curricula is college preparatory. A two semester calendar year is scheduled with 18 week semesters. Middle and High School academic reports are updated weekly through EdLine. Families will receive passwords, and they will be able to access their students' grades with Internet access. Elementary report cards are issued every nine weeks with intervening progress reports. Comprehensive exams are administered at the end of each semester. Classes are 50 minutes, 5 days a week, 7 periods daily.
