Four athletic standouts in the Class of 2017 signed letters of intent to continue their playing career at the college level. Matt Blair, Zion Blasingame, Sean Brown, and Vasco Sanders will all advance to their respective universities where they will undoubtedly serve as integral members of their new college teams.

Blair, who will join the Mercer Bears, has pitched for 66 innings during this current season with 107 strikeouts and 1.38 ERA. A vital member of the 2016 GHSA state championship baseball team, Matt Blair is a member of the National Beta Club, FCA, and Young Life.

Zion Blasingame will continue his football career at St. Andrews University.  Blasingame, who switched to the position of fullback under the direction of Coach Chance Jones, is a member of FCA, Science Club, and Young Life. Zion was honored as the Special Teams Player of the Week by the Macon Touchdown Club and also served as a key player on the varsity basketball team helping TSA earn a spot in the Elite 8 his junior year and Sweet 16 his senior year.

Sean Brown signed with Kennesaw State University to continue his football career. Brown is a member of FCA and also played a key role on the varsity basketball team in addition to helping the Trojans reach the semifinals during the 2016 football season. He earned All Region honors during his sophomore and junior year and earned an All State honorable mention during his junior year.

Vasco Sanders will join the Jacksonville University football team this fall. Sanders served as a member of the varsity track and wrestling teams during his time at TSA and was honored by the Macon Touchdown club as Back of the Week during the 2016 football season.

Blasingame, Brown, and Sanders helped the varsity football team to finish as the 2016 Region Champions with a 12-1 record. Blair, along with the 2017 varsity baseball team, is currently vying another spot in the GHSA Baseball Championship series.
