Four athletic standouts in the Class of 2018 will continue their playing career at the college level. Logan Fink, Allie Gordon, Carley Ingle, and Logan Simmons will all advance to their respective universities where they will undoubtedly serve as integral members of their new college teams.

Logan Fink committed to play baseball at Kennesaw State University.  His batting average is 51/179 (.285) with 17 Doubles, 3 Triples, 7 Home runs, 50 RBIs, and 51 Runs Scored.

“Logan is a fantastic talent. I’ve never seen a better glove guy at first base. He could play defensive first base for anybody in the country. He’s special in my heart, and I wish him the best of luck moving forward in college baseball,” stated Coach Joey Hiller.

Allie Gordon and Carley Ingle signed letters of intent to play softball at Belhaven University in Mississippi. After years of extraordinary success as a Lady Trojan, Allie Gordon proved to be an invaluable player. A starter on Tattnall’s varsity softball team since the eighth grade, Gordon has set school career records in career batting average (.426), single season batting average (.505), career hits (226), career runs scored (164), career RBI (189), career extra base hits (88), career doubles (50), career triples (14), single season triples (7), and career home runs (24). Gordon played a key role in the Lady Trojans’ advancement to the Elite 8.

“Allie has anchored TSA’s softball team in her five years on the varsity level, including our first Fastpitch Softball State Championship in 2013,” commented Coach Joey Hiller.

Carley Ingle transferred to TSA her junior year and started for two seasons in 2016 and 2017. She played a vital role in helping lead the Lady Trojans to the Elite 8 in the GHSA two years in a row.

“Carley’s skill level, leadership, and excitement about the game have helped drive this team and last year’s team to its two most successful seasons in the GHSA,” stated Coach Hiller.

Logan Simmons signed with Georgia Institute of Technology to continue his baseball career. A starter on TSA’s baseball team since his freshman year, Simons has helped lead Tattnall baseball to a GHSA Final 4 appearance, a GHSA State Championship, and a GHSA State Runner Up finish. He excelled in his sophomore season when he hit a solo walk off home run in the bottom of the seventh in the first game of the State Championship Series, and when he pitched a complete game to win TSA’s first State Championship in the GHSA.

“Logan Simmons is one of the most talented players to ever come through Tattnall. His work ethic for this game matches no one we have ever seen. His dedication to the fundamentals of the game and pursuing his dreams are unmatched,” Coach Hiller expressed.
