Losing starters on any team is never an easy adjustment. For Joey Hiller and the Lady Trojans, the loss of five senior standouts left an extremely young team. Though youth can sometimes mean inexperience, that certainly is not the case with this determined group of athletes. Tattnall’s Lady Trojans are climbing their way to the top with hard work, enthusiasm, and teamwork.

This week, Tattnall ranked third in the GHSA A Power Ratings with a 12-2 record and a 9.55 ranking just below Wesleyan and Stratford. Week four softball rankings released by the AJC placed Tattnall in second just below Wesleyan. While GHSA power ratings will eventually determine playoff seeding, a higher ranking can also place a larger target on your team. “The higher we are ranked, the more other teams will prepare for our games,” commented Coach Joey Hiller.

One additional component to TSA’s success thus far could arguably be the brand new softball complex and home to the Lady Trojans. “The new softball field is amazing.  The coaches and the girls get excited about showing up to such a wonderful place every day.  We really want to thank our major donors, support, and softball families who have contributed so much time, money, effort, and energy into this project,” stated Hiller.

Tattnall will face FPD tonight at 7:00 p.m. at home. Be sure to come out and support our Lady Trojans!
