Congratulations to Sarah Beth Heath and Austin Tedders who were named Valedictorian and Salutatorian for the Class of 2017!

Sarah Beth Heath, daughter of Tony and Mitzi Heath, has been a student at Tattnall since K4. She has been a leader on Tattnall’s Soccer Team and a member of Beta Club, Y-Club, and Young Life for four years. Sarah Beth was named Distinguished Young Woman of Bibb County during her junior year and Cherry Blossom Princess her senior year.  She has been a member of the Ronald McDonald Teen Board and has donated many hours of service to her school and community.  A University of Georgia Certificate of Merit recipient, Sarah Beth plans to attend the University of Georgia in the fall.

Austin Tedders, the son of Tommy and Susan Tedders, has been a student at Tattnall since kindergarten.  He has been a vital member of Tattnall’s Band of Gold since seventh grade where he served as Percussion Captain since eighth grade. Austin has received numerous band awards as well as many highest average awards.  He is an Exchange Club Student of the month, Golden Eagle nominee, Wofford Scholar, Presbyterian College Scholar, and a University of Georgia Certificate of Merit recipient.  Austin, who received scholarships in both music and engineering, plans to attend Mercer University in the fall.

Sarah Beth and Austin will deliver the valedictory and salutatory address at commencement on Monday, May 22 beginning at 7:00 p.m.
