After years of extraordinary success as a Tattnall Trojan, Ahmad Barron will continue his football career in North Georgia as a Reinhardt University Eagle. Barron signed his letter of intent in front of a crowd of classmates, friends, family, and teachers. Throughout his athletic career at Tattnall, Barron proved to be an invaluable member of each team he joined. During his senior football season alone, Barron had 160 carries with 1600 yards and 17 touchdowns.

“We’ll miss your abilities on the field, but we’ll miss your heart and your character more,” stated Coach Chance Jones as he addressed Barron this afternoon. Over the years, Barron has won the hearts of the Tattnall family with his kindness, impeccable character, and heart of gold.

Barron is a member of FCA and also served as a vital member of the varsity basketball team. During his years as as Trojan, Barron has garnered athletic recognition with All State and All Region honors in both football and basketball. Additionally, Barron has earned a position on the Macon Telegraph’s list of Top 10 All Middle Georgia football players and has also been an honoree of the Macon Touchdown Club.

“He has one of the biggest hearts I’ve seen in a long time, and we are so proud of him,” stated Todd Whetsel.
