Planned Gifts

Planned gifts take a longer term view. Planned gifts range from life-income gifts, to bequests, to creative arrangements using retirement plan benefits. Some people choose to make either an outright or deferred gift of assets such as stocks, bonds, and property. Making a planned gift may allow you to give more than you ever thought possible and, at the same time, benefit from tax advantages or income for a term of years or life.

Capital Gifts

Capital Gifts are larger and generally given over a period of years. Capital gifts support both endowment and capital projects and serve as our “savings account.” Capital gifts are vital to the school’s ability to maintain its position in the marketplace by attracting and retaining the highest quality faculty, offering a program which is continually evaluated for its relevance and effectiveness, and providing the funds to attract to students who are appropriate for our mission.

FAQs

What is annual giving?

Annual giving ensures that our school has the resources necessary to deliver the Tattnall Square experience. From credentialed faculty, counselors and coaches to the latest technology, library resources and learning curriculum, the annual fund provides much needed resources to ensure that we are achieving our mission of providing an exceptional college preparatory education grounded in Christian faith.

The school relies on annual giving to keep the cost of tuition as affordable as possible, allowing administrators to bridge the gap between tuition revenues and the actual cost of a Tattnall Square Academy education. Annual giving funds also help provide technology enhancements, campus renovations, and support the Tuition Assistance Program.

Watch the video below from our Head of School and Board of Trustees Chairman to learn more about Annual Giving.

Why should I give?

Donating to the annual fund provides an avenue for our school community to demonstrate support of TSA which mobilizes support from outside sources such as businesses, foundations and philanthropists who otherwise have no direct connection to TSA.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Tattnall Square Academy is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization; therefore, all gifts qualify for a tax deduction. When you send your commitment to the school, you will receive the necessary documentation for your tax purposes. If your company has a matching gift program, please contact Tattnall’s development office to discuss requirements.

Why is participation important?

Many organizations and foundations who help fund Tattnall review the school’s participation level to gauge the support of families, faculty and alumni. Your gift to the Annual Fund is an affirmation that you are committed to the success of our students. The Board of Trustees, faculty, staff and student families have all been challenged with achieving 100% participation in the Annual Fund, and if you know Trojan tradition, you know we take challenges very seriously!
